Copyright and User Content
Chordwright is built for writing, arranging, and sharing chord charts. Users are responsible for making sure they have the rights or permission needed for anything they upload, publish, request, or share.
User Responsibility
Do not upload, publish, or share copyrighted lyrics, sheet music, recordings, artwork, or other protected material unless you own it, have permission, or are otherwise legally allowed to use it.
Charts and Song Information
Chords and chord progressions, as musical building blocks, are generally not copyrightable on their own and do not by themselves belong to the intellectual property of a song or artist. Chord charts, song metadata, annotations, lyrics, melodies, recordings, artwork, and distinctive arrangements may still raise copyright concerns depending on what they include and how they are shared. Keep your contributions original and avoid copying protected material from third-party sources.
Removal
Chordwright may remove content that appears to infringe copyright, violates platform rules, or creates legal or safety risk. Accounts that repeatedly publish infringing content may be restricted or terminated.
Copyright Complaints
If you believe content on Chordwright infringes your copyright, contact the site operator with the content location, your contact information, a description of the copyrighted work, and a statement that you believe the use is unauthorized.
No Rights Granted
Chordwright does not grant users rights to songs, recordings, lyrics, artwork, or other materials owned by third parties. You remain responsible for the content you choose to use.
